I was laughing and thinking, "Wow you have to be pretty jealous to wish that on someone."

the Stormy Hub is leaking like a B*tch but I am not giving up and how did that guy the rims were rusted what was cool was the tire liners were a cloth like materail ,, my spelling sucks :) ..Steeker

The rims are not helped by that "neat" cloth rim strip. Cloth holds onto water - holding it in to help keep it in contact with your steel rims. The result is... rust. (which I was not wishing on you, honest). Any repair of the bicycle needs to include ditching those rim strips.

Thank you for the advice I do releize the cloth would cause rust  which it did and the head set needs new bearings too I have saved the origenal tires for keeps sakes but they are crackedwill keep you posteed ....Steeker

Actually, a little rust on the sides makes those old rims stop much better in the rain!

Possibly, but having the right brake pads will do even more. Fibrax or the old pink Weinmann pads are the best I know of.

If rust on the inside from a cloth rim band is increasing your braking power, you've got bigger problems than being caught in the rain!

Clean off that rust, replace the brake cables and enjoy. I love that style of lettering.

I spent three hours cleaning up the Dunlop rims on my 1959 Raleigh just have a little bit left on the Stormy hub and on the inside of the rim I will get a more up to date seat post for the bike so it can except my mordern seat which I have several of the same kind on all my bikes ,, the brakes seem to be ok and should clean up nicely but the brake leaver hoods are almost roted away and the chain is in great shape too ..I still have to open the bottom bracket to check it out but so far so good :) I am not sure if I should keep the origenal paint job it is all marked up and wore away in places so I might get it painted the brightest orange I can get lol .......Steeker

Nice. A light go-over with 320 grit sandpaper will shine those spokes right up.
