Foo - Not Mountain Biking, Mountain Boarding

Bikeforums.net is a forum about nothing but bikes. Our community can help you find information about hard-to-find and localized information like bicycle tours, specialties like where in your area to have your recumbent bike serviced, or what are the best bicycle tires and seats for the activities you use your bike for.

What's Mountain Boarding:Link (http://www.mbs.com)

Every year there's a national mountain boarding championship. This year it was held at snowmass. For the last two years I've been making a video on it. Now the initial buzz is gone among riders so I decided to open the video up to everyone else. Click Here for the Vid (mountainboard.spymac.net) The movie can be downloaded for FREE, or you can buy a dvd. If you download it, feel free to make comments in this thread, good or bad. If you mention this post, I can hook you up with a "poor boy" deal. Just shoot me an email if you're interested. mattvolp@gmail.com

thanks,
Matt

ps. The file size is pretty big, so make sure you have a high speed internet.

Some people had problems with the video downloading. I think I fixed that. And I got hooked up with a brand new domain name: http://www.mountainboards.tk

There is some of that in NWD2 or 3 I think. Kind of nutty, but really, its another board sport, I would suck so bad at it...haha

New world disorder series. Its a series of movies for mountain biking. But inreality the first 3 were 'mountain sports'. They had the original mountain uni's, (not sure if original but a while ago) mountain boarders etc. Both of which I was "wow cool, but, I would suck so fast forward" :)

Oh yeah, I've got that video. The guy who jumps the 40-50-maybe 60 ft. cliff was insane.

Some of these guys went out to the skatepark in Petaluma while I was there. Everyone - bikers and skaters alike - was ripping on them.

And for good reason: they have no real control over what they're doing, or have any knowledge of skatepark etiquette. These guys were total snakes, and they were crashing all over the place because they were clipped into their boards.

When was this? Because I had some friends that went there and they said bikers were giving them props for spinning 540s and stuff like that. (Could've been other riders, I don't know who though.)

Well, maybe they went a second time, or maybe this is a separate group of mountain boarders. When I was there, it was the most uncontrolled nonsense I'd ever seen; one of these guys actually somehow fell off the box jump. Like off the side of the thing.
