Folding Bikes - One new folder

I saw an interesting new folder in the February/ March issue of A to B magazine it is called The ZED . It has a carbon fiber frame with 24 inch wheels and comes with a 5 or 7 speed sram hub wieght is 9 kg (WGT 20 lbs). Cost is 4500 to 5000 British Pounds . Pounds here is used as a monetary unit not a measure of weight.Does anyone else read A to B? It has a flat handlebarfront suspension forks and appears to have disc brakes. I check out the A to B website every once in awhile. At current exchange rates, that's about $8600. Even if it weren't outrageously expensive, I don't understand the sense of a carbon-fiber folder. What are you gonna do, race the thing? And at 20 lbs, it isn't even considerably lighter than some other folders on the market, such as Bike Friday's Pocket Rocket Pro or the Dahon Helios SL.

I couldn't find the bike on the web either. I just thought it was neat when i saw it in A to B.

Yes I saw it also.The price seems to be the problem but the design is nice.There are some good performance folders around for much less
