Touring - Genoa to Turin to Aix-en-Provence

Bikeforums.net is a forum about nothing but bikes. Our community can help you find information about hard-to-find and localized information like bicycle tours, specialties like where in your area to have your recumbent bike serviced, or what are the best bicycle tires and seats for the activities you use your bike for.
I've got some lovely maps. (1/200,000)
However, nowhere can I find any specific information on a good pass through the Alps between Turin, Italy and Aix-en-Provence, France. Also, my LP Cycling Italy hasn't much route between Genoa and Turin. I'm sure that typing out route info can be really tedious, but if anyone could point me to a detailed travelogue, or atleast a nice pass into France, sans long tunnels, i won't :crash: Bien des remercimentsxx
Have you tried a Michelin map (at least the French side)? Check out the roads that are white or yellow on the map. The red and blue are busy car routes (blue are restricted access autoroutes)
bonne chance.

You will probably find some good route guides at Trento Bike Pages

Thanks. I should probably keep my italian phrasebook handy. Some cyclist or bike mechanic could probably lend some experience when I'm there. I keep examining my maps and scouring trento's pages. (which before I thought just covered Trento, but is much more). happy cycling****

Hi ilse, look at my posting (#47 in the "Italy or France"-Thread about 1 week ago). This is my favorite pass on your route towards Aix. There is no tunnel at all. In my posting there is also a link (described as "here"), where you can get more information about the road and overnight accomodations and so on...
If you like I can give more detailled information in english.
