Just a quick hellow to ya'll. I was just surfing around, saw this site and liked what people were saying. I my self have been ridding mtb since 1988. This year I did my first dh race at the Sea Otter and had a blast. I used to race xc but it was a pain lugging around 260# and trying to keep up with the 160# riders. I ride in the hills 3 times a week and use my road bike twice a week. I introduced my wife to the sport when we met and she has been hooked ever since. Thats all for now, gotta go change a derailer.

p.s. I forgot to mention, we live in Chatsworth CA. an have some of the best trails right out of our backyard

Hey DirtbikeDude, since no one has said it yet, "Welcome to the Forums" I always like to hear from another mtn. biking husband/wife team. I got my wife into riding during our first year together, and we've been hooked ever since. Now she destroys me on long rides. She's 120 lbs, only rides 2x's a week and has an incredible base fitness level. I'm 225 lbs and ride 6 x's a week, and she still hammers me on rides!

I've never raced DH, being from FL means I have to travel to try it! I've always dreamt of doing it! I come from a BMX background and think I'd be able to pick it up easily.

One day we'll move close to some mountains and I'll give it a try!
