BMX - New to bmx, i just got a bike..

Ok im new to this, I just turned 27 and almost feel to old but it looks like so much fun. Plus some of my
best times as a kid wher spent on my gt performer. The bike i got is a jamis it has a 3pic crank.Any one
have any expirence with a jamis? Havent been able to find much out about them.

They're a trusted mountain bike manufacturer, with some nice full-suspension ones, but I didn't know they did BMX bikes.

Not 100% chromoly, stupid gussets that a properly designed frame wouldn't need, what is UP with the rake on the fork? Oversized dropouts are 2 years out of date. Crappy aluminum rims - they aren't even BLACK, let alone chrome plated. 44/16 gearing... well, I guess if the bike came from WalMart.
I think the most redeeming thing about the bike is the longer top tube. Dumb luck instead of brains at use I think.
Really, I hope you enjoy it and it really isn't garbage, but others should be aware that there are much better bikes out there for the money.
