BMX - gt bikes, y/n?

ok im curious to what all you think of gt bikes. every where i ride i get involved in an arguement over wether or not gt is a good brand for bmx. (i also ride mtb and their mtbs are the best so dont even start with that). I personally like their bmx bikes.

I wouldnt ride one.

They make a wide variety of bikes at GT and the range varies from good to very good. None of their bikes are garbage the way some other companies are and they are staying with current designs. Very comparable to Haro. Their top of the line stuff is a good value for your money and usually will give you a year or two of SERIOUS riding without major issues. Are they as good as Terrible One? No, but for about $250.00 you can buy a COMPLETE GT, while the same money only gets you a frame from other companies.

As with other companies, it depends on exactly which bike you buy, not which brand. Like Chevrolet makes both the Cavalier and the Corvette - they aren't comparable vehicles even though they have the same manufacturer.

check out the new GT Fueler casue it has everything that you need.....cassette hubs, sealed wheels, light, 4130 full chromoly and lots of other top of the line features.....and its only like $399

dont get GT unless its from a mail order....the ones a Sports athurity and other department stores suck...and fall apart..

well said bmxtrix. and yeah, i would never buy a bike of anykind from a dick's or sports athurity no matter what brand it was. does the fueler really come with all that, never looked that closely at it i guess. ty. i do think their bikes are good, but i wanna hear why some ppl dont like em. i've never heard a real reason.

Are you looking to buy another bike? I'm probably wrong, but it sounds that way almost. I thought you were the one that just got all of those awesome parts on their bike that they got from christmas. Oh well, none of my buisness, just curious.

Oh ok man, cool. But what do you mean race bike? Wasn't that bike the one in those photos awhile back when you finally got to ride? That was your race bike?
