Road Cycling - Looking for videos on great road biking

Bikeforums.net is a forum about nothing but bikes. Our community can help you find information about hard-to-find and localized information like bicycle tours, specialties like where in your area to have your recumbent bike serviced, or what are the best bicycle tires and seats for the activities you use your bike for.
Looking to maybe purchase some videos on great moments on either the last 3 years of Lance Armstrong. Or I think Ive seen a promo for Greatest Climbs. Anyone have any of these videos, are they worth it - and where can they be purchased. thanks

I love race videos, and I have quite a few in my collection including, but not limited to, the 2001, 2000 and 1994 Paris-Roubaix, the 1997 Fleche Wallonne and Liege-Bastogne-Liege, the 2000 Paris-Roubaix and Amstel Gold... and others.
I love watching these tapes. They're little dramas, and I can watch them ocer and over -- the 2000 Giro d'Italia is even operatic! I also learn a lot from watching the tapes about bike handling and tactics.
I'm not a huge fan of the narrative compilations like Greatest Climbs, I do prefer the raw race, though I've seen some and enjoyed them. A Sunday in Hell, a documentary about the 1976 Paris-Roubaix, is regarded as a classic film, and not just by cycling fanatics. I haven't seen it but I would like to.
You can have you LBS order some videos from you or order them online from World Cycling Productions (http://www.worldcycling.com/).
Thanks for the resource on videos. So being new to the world or road racing. What video would you reccomend I start out with. Im excited to learn about the great racers, the styles of these racers and all.

Nikos,
Do you have OLN? Tape the daily Giro d'Italia coverage going on right now (9:30 AM-12:00 AM EDT live, 4;00-5:30 PM EDTand 8:00-9:30 PM EDT replay) as well as the Thursday evening cycling shows 8:00 PM-11:00PM which show many of the spring classics.
FWIW,
Raymond
Wow, cool - Im all over that. I just called my wife to gear up the vcr for taping. Looking at the online tv guide, there is a ton of coverage on this event. Almost every day for the next two weeks! Thanks for the tip!

That's not fair, I have OLN cable But same thing I don't get the Giro,
as for the Video, if your a diehard cycling fanatics, you will enjoy the 1999, 2000 and 2001 Tour de France, You will really see how Lance destroyed the Peloton, I have these Videos and I don';t get tired repeatedly watching it.
Watched the tape of the afternoon coverage - great stuff. What technique these guys use. Watching the guy from Italy in the last leg go out in front, only to fall back to the pack late in the game.
