Commuting - Commute Pics from this morning...

Bikeforums.net is a forum about nothing but bikes. Our community can help you find information about hard-to-find and localized information like bicycle tours, specialties like where in your area to have your recumbent bike serviced, or what are the best bicycle tires and seats for the activities you use your bike for.

I have a great 15-20 mile commute, but unfortunately I don't get to do it as much as I'd like. Here are a few random pics from this mornings ride...
1 - An early start.
2 - Scott on a short road section.
3 - Scott at USAFA entrance. Mt Herman in the background.
4 - The majority of my commute is on the Sante Fe Trail.
5 - Scott on the Academy w/ Pikes Peak just barely visible.
6 - Deer on the Academy. A common site along w/ turkeys and rattlesnakes (and rarely elk).
7 - Parking lot and great view of Pikes Peak

Don't know why I couldn't add the last shot, but here it is...the view from our office.

Great shots. What kind of road bars are those?

Thanks. 46cm Nitto Noodles, which I really like.

Thanks for making my commute route seem even crappier than it really is.

Having this park at the end of my parking lot is another huge benefit of where I work:

Who's the other bike commuter? The car park's full but the bike rack is not...
It's good to see they supply facilities for bikes anyway. Your mission now is to convert your co-workers from cagers to super strong awesome bicycle commuters ;)

The other commuter is a coworker. I'd say the ratio of cars to bikes is greater than 75 to 1. Pretty bad. Considering Colorado Springs is supposed to be a fairly fit city, the number of bike commuters is pitiful. Our company provides both secure parking and showers.
Frankly, I'm no model bike commuter. I bike commute far fewer times than I'd like to per year.

How cool to see your pics! I also get to see Pike's Peak on my way in to work, but from farther north. Makes me so happy. Makes going to work seem much less grueling. I don't usually see rattlesnakes, but I do see lots of coyotes and bunnies.
