Mountain Biking - New Pedals - Not installed yet

Bikeforums.net is a forum about nothing but bikes. Our community can help you find information about hard-to-find and localized information like bicycle tours, specialties like where in your area to have your recumbent bike serviced, or what are the best bicycle tires and seats for the activities you use your bike for.

Heya everyone.
At the bike show today, I got a pair of Mosh Step Pedals. I couldn't find any reviews or anything on them, but I got them for 57.50 CAD. They're pretty light, come with 24 replacable screw pins (the ones with the big head on the non gripping side). Come with sealed cartridge bearings, 2 of em (unlike 1 bearing and 1 bushing in ZuZus which were about 80 bucks). I'm going to kill my jack****s then put on my moshes. :D:D

You would have found reviews on bmx sites.

I did find reviews, but couldnt find any for the mosh pedals. Plus, for what this offered and at this price (sealed, replacable, 2 bearings 50 bucks, nice feeling and concave body) it was the best in the show.

I'm thinking of going, and was going to look at some small things like saddles, camelbaks and floor pumps, but I figured, after I've coughed upt he $36 for parking and admission, it's really not worth it.
But I'm still debating it because we're looking at a road bike for my brother. Hopefully for something less than a $1000. Can you tell me what they had on road bikes hooligan?
(If you're wondering why my brother gets to spend more than double on his bike it's because hes older and because road bikes cost more in general :P)

Sorry, but on bikes, most things were at least 100 dollars off, usually 150-400. I ddin't look at road bikes. I'm not that kind of person. If you do go though, just take the ttc. From your place to bloor, then go south to union, take the 509, get to the exhibition place and walk into the main hall. Ask the people who are going as well. Tomorrows the last day.
Also, pumps are cheap. I can't believe I was a fool to buy an LG pump with no valve lock for 10 dollars during the autumn show. I'm going to ebay it off with some other stuff, like my cowan grips and knee pads and other stuff. For 10 bucks at MY lbs, I can get a locking pump, for 15 at the show, you can get a really really nice mini pump.
Ryan leech is there, as is brian lopes, giving out autographs, and disorderly conduct and crankworx are playing in a room.

Yeah I got a nice stainless steel mini pump at the last one for 22 or something, regular price 39 but I need one that has a gauge and can go up to 120psi.
I can't take the TTC, too far away :)

Cool pedals. It would have been neat to watch Leech do his tricks in person, they sure look neat in video.

Mine have lasted a year+, on the second set of bearings.
2 pins out, stripped replaced with screw punched out one with a nut-bolt.
I think I paid 40+ and smacked them around and will last until the end of summer ..good deal.
They are a good economy pedal, next I will purchase these-

Are they really different/better?
Only difference i see on the box is..
20 pins VS the 24 you have
and
Large CHC machined Extrusion Platform pedal VS Large are alloy platform pedal
Makes it sound fancy but at the end of the day, it really makes no difference.
OH and my logos are laser etched. Your pedals are machine etched.

I didn't go to the Spring show this year. I was afraid that I'd walk home with another bike :D
ALso, the admission is kinda ridiculous just to walk around and shop. I get cost from my LBS now, so I guess I dont really need to go to those shows :p

My BF bought a bike from them, really cool people, lots & lots of stuff. Oh yeah he got a Santa Cruz VP Free.
Ryan Leech was awesome in person, we bought his Manifesto DVD too, it was worth every penny. We got some cool video footage of him. He is super nice, & really spent time talking to whoever wanted to talk to him.
Those are some great looking peddles Hooligan :)
