hi im looking for a new rim to my bike... i saw the mavic f519 on nashbar at 19 so i think is a good price and it has been well reviewed on mtbr. if you have some info about it please tell me.
now i have doubts about some rim terms, specifically eyeltes, what are those? well specting some answer and more info as you want thanks

eyelets are reinforcements where the nipple meets the rim. They are quite nice to have, makes for a stronger rim, helping the rims cope with the high tensions. Im not sure what kind of riding your doing but I think Sun and Velocity make awsome rims, if your fairly light (sub 175 LB) you can actually get Sun Sub IV on JensonUSA for 15 bucks a piece! These rims are light and sun makes high quality stuff.
