Not my first ride, but my first real mountain biking trip. I discovered something. I no longer have Skillz. Of course, we were riding hills that had 45+ degree slopes, lots of roots, and 1' drops in places. Needless to say, the people i was riding with were just a little out of my league. That, and i bonked, which sucked, cause I hated making them wait at the top of the hills. Other than that, It was great! :D

Sounds pretty wicked. Atleast you went. You were out there and not sitting on your butt in front of your computer like I am right now. You will obtain those "skilz" before you know it, and your endurance will pick up as well. Keep smiling and keep hammerin'. (The pedals that is)

I just went on my first real ride in a couple of years as well. It isn't fun to always be lagging the group, is it? Every time I'd get to the top of a long climb, my friends would be up there waiting for me! The bummer about being the last up is that once you get to the top, your buddies are all rested and get back on their bikes! No time to rest unless you want to fall even further behind! Regardless, it was a good time and I can't wait to get out again!

yea, I felt like the real heel. I paid for that ride today, though. I'm sore everywhere, except my legs!

Keep riding, and soon you'll be waiting at the top for the next, "Newbie" rider!
