I bought some new tires online, so I've been taking my wheels off and getting ready to put the new tires on. Ive never taken apart my hub/axle so I thought I'd take them apart a grease everything. I took them apart and greased everything, but I'm having some trouble getting them back together.
There is a double nut on the axle, so [inside of the hub] the bearings ride on one nut, and the other nut tightens down on the first one to keep it from moving. (obviously) I need somthing to hold the first nut while I tighten down the second nut. The problem is that a wrench is to fat to fit between the second nut and the hub. It's kindof hard to explain. Any ideas? Is there a special tool that is skinny enough to work?
Thanks for any help.
