I know Florida is not known for its hills, and I haven't been there for a while so I don't remember - is it totally bone flat??

There are a few areas that roll pretty well. Enough to surprise you if you're not expecting it. The Zephyrhills area and North of that up into Pasco County have some roads that are very "un-Florida like." They're on the West (Gulf) side ~30 miles NE of Tampa.

In the SE where I live bridges are all the elevation you get though if you like misery this time of year guarantees you a constant headwind if you ride towards the NE at all.

Clermont is quite nice for rolling hills.
About 20 miles west of Orlan-DOH!

The Florida pan handle, Ft. Walton Beach, Crestview area has some nice hills as well.

I recall an unexpected hill in Fernidina Beach. Then you have bridges like we do here. I read an article about MTBing in Flordia, that the hills are inverted. The "hill" are quarries.

Oh come on, what do you guys mean by hills? The highest point in Florida is like 300 ft elevation. I realized I should have taken off the small chainring before I went there last time.

Have to admit though, the wind can be a killer.

Try riding up Sugarloaf in Lake county some day, and then ask the question! :D
