It's from Park Chan-Wook (Sympathy For Mr. Vengeance) and involves a man being kidnapped and locked up for 15 years then given 5 days to find out why. Check the trailer here http://thehand.asiaextremefilms.com/thehand/index.html?fuseaction=tools.showav&avID=4&format=2
I'm all about it
Korean film I still have hope for you!
I'll have to wait for the dvd, but Tartan did a good job with the dvd release of Doppleganger so I'm sure Oldboy will follow suit.

Has this thing made it to the theaters yet?
I think it will be running as a limited release here soon. If you're in a city with a diverse theater/film selection, you should be good to go.
If not, a DVD purchase would be the next best thing (If you've got an all-region player)
a u.s. region 1 dvd will be coming out soon.

The ending was particularly disturbing.
to read spoiler, highlight text... I can understand wanting to be hypnotized to forget, but the consequence of that is continuing a sexual relationship with Mido. That's horribly wrong. </spoiler>
