I just bought this today. It's an Abus Granit Extreme Plus chain lock with an Abus security rating of 25. It's 140cm and weighs under 5kg. Heavy, but I see hauling all this weight as training for fun rides this summer. I know a guy who works at a motorcycle shop. It was over 50% off! Around $100 total. They had the U lock version as well, but I thought this would be more versitle.

What do you think? Can this lock be cut without power tools in less than half an hour? Enjoy the shots.

Sure. All Abus products are 50% off now. He did me a little better. The second lock would probley be "only" 50% off. Which comes to UDS132.17. The problem is that I'm in Latvia. You'd have to pay the shipping. If you're interested PM me.

Does the lock come with a thicker rubber strip, or will I have to order it separately?

Yeah, I remember this style from my motorcycle days.

These locks are especially effective. Each link rotates along its axis, so sawing though it without holding it in a vice is practically impossible.

A diamond saw may make quick work of it though...
