I'm building my first set of wheels specifically to be used for tubular tires.

Question: What are the pros and cons regarding the use of traditional glue vs. Tufo Tape?

Also, is Tufo sealant adviseable?

I have never used the tape but it has got to be easier and less messy than glue. You want to be sure you do it right, rolling a tire is bad.
The sealant seems like a good idea, anything to stop a flat.

The tape is a more expensive, yet easier alternative to using tradtional glue. You can mount a new tire on the side of the road with new tape and ride on.

Tape is a lot easier to install, but is also a lot harder to get the tire off. I experimented with tape last year and had no problems with it. Only problem was taking the tire off, 'cuz the adhesive on the tape was so strong. Took a little more huffing ang puffing, but I did manage it get the tire off. Anyway, there to 2 types of tapes that Tufo carry: regular and extreme condition. Make sure you buy the right one for you're ridding condition.

I decided to stick with glue 'cuz it's cheaper and I don't mind the mess. :)
