Hello, Bike Forums!

This is my inagural post here. I've been cooped up for the last three days with the flu, going a little stir
crazy. To make matters worse -- no, better -- Mr. Brown dropped off my new Iron Horse Hollowpoint
MkIII on Monday night.

So between naps and doses of TheraFlu, I stripped the frame down to nothing, and took some photos of
it. It's really a stunning new frame, and I'm sharing them with the various message boards I regularly lurk.
I hope you enjoy them!

I've got big plans for the frame. It'll be outfitted with a Rohloff Speedhub -- one I'm currently running on
my 2003 Hollowpoint -- and I'll fix 'er up with a Cane Creek AD-12 and I'm considering a White Brothers VT
fork. Contemplating a through-axle in the front, and tried-and-true Avid discs as stoppers.

I'm totally sold on the dw-link suspension design this bike uses (I've been riding it on my similarly outfitted
'03 for almost 2 years now); it climbs like no one's business without any lockouts or SPV, has zero pedal
feedback when it starts getting rough, and is a joy to float down descents on. On problem is I've got to
keep the air pressure topped up just right, because it'll pedal like goo if I over- or under-inflate it.

The '05 got me all hot under the collar because they switched to a 2" stroke, which means a big dude like
me (200 pounds) won't have to worry about maxing out his shock pressure. Plus, I think you'll agree, the
frame design is pretty crazy, and the paint is just sick, which is why I went through all the trouble to take
these pictures.

Here's a sneak peak; to see all the photos click on the link above.

Nice looking frame. Very sweet.

Sounds like a nice build.

I'd definately recommend a thru axle for anyone over (or around) 200 lbs.

Let us know how she turns out.

Thanks guys. I'm thinking through-axles are worth the tiny weight gain just for the peace of mind.
