Touring - Easter Tours?

Do any of you have any short Easter weekend tours planned?

I want to go somewhere, but I haven't decided where yet. Part of the problem is that the weather in this part of the world is still a little bit questionable. Might be really nice ... might be really horrible. I won't know until the weekend is there!

Have you considered Death Valley. Late March is one of the best times - temps in the mid 80s - that's 30 in Canadian - very little rainfall - - - BUT this year - - - it's been a record rainfall winter - 250% of average so the desert is blooming - once in a century.

No plans for the Easter weekend, but a friend and I are biking to Victoria next weekend.

We did this last year and had a great time!

Texas Hill Country has a 3 day event with centuries and other loops over Easter. Fly into San Antonio, rent a car, it's only an hour to Kerrville. Great biking in the hill country if you've never done it.

I recommend the YO Ranch to stay. Also Super 8 in Fredricksburg is good. AVOID the Best Western, it is NOT in town as the claim.

Easter Hill Country Bicycle Tour (Texas Hill Country) really is a neat weekend.

I am skipping it this year, due to remodeling our house, but it is a great ride!

I'm going on a little Olympic Pinensula three day tour over the Easter Weekend. I'm going to ride from my house and catch the ferry over. I hope you get to go on a tour somewhere, Machka.

If the weather gets warm enough to camp I may tour Isle of Quinte (Prince Edward County), Ontario. Alternatively I can stay with friends in Belleville and do day trips. If not, I will ride in the Ottawa region.

No Plans, but no doubt I will pack the bike and disappear into the morning sun, or pissing rain, Go any where as long its out of London, usuall these kinds of holiday are best as there are no plans to go wrong since I have no plans. Cant wait...

In Europe the first place for an early summer ride is the island Mallorca in the Mediterranean near Barcelona. We will be there next week (first road kilometers, first climbs, little spanish restaurants in the evening).

Sadly, it has snowed heavily here and is supposed to continue to snow for the next week or so ....... so my plans to cycle somewhere on a short tour have been squashed. :( I'll have to think of something else.

I'm going from southeast IN to northern IN starting mon.round trip like 450 miles or so. forcast is for snow every day next week up there so it should be fun,the intention is to camp every nite. I suppose if it gets to bad I can find a hotel,but what fun us that?

Even more unfortunately, there's too much snow and cold to do a lot of cycling comfortably ... and too little snow to ski. :(
