So I was watching the 2003 Paris Roubaix, and the Current World Champ (Peter van petegem)was wearing a striped jersey with the w.c. stripes, however they were yellow, orange, red, purple, aqua and blue instead of the classic yellow, green, black, red and blue.
Is this is only for certain races?
When did they change the colours?
Can anybody tell me what's up?

van Petegem is wearing the points champion's jersery, as he earned the most World Cup points last year. The "classic" jersery you refer to is worn by the winner of the world champion's road race held every fall.
I thought that there was one set of Rainbow stripes
but multiple catagories, i.e. Road, Time trial etc. and
they were all the same.
If I understand the original question correctly it was
about the different colours in Van Petegems jersey, yah?
