Bikeforums.net is a forum about nothing but bikes. Our community can help you find information about hard-to-find and localized information like bicycle tours, specialties like where in your area to have your recumbent bike serviced, or what are the best bicycle tires and seats for the activities you use your bike for.

My bike mechanic has built me a 36 spoke rear wheel for my road bike. He used a Mavic MA-40 Rim and used a Deore LX FH M570 Hub. He said if I found the matching front Hub he would make me one for the front. The back is the one I really need for my heavy weight but I thought I may go ahead a get the front one done and have a set. I have searched just a little and I found a Deore LX SH-HBm571. Would that be the matching hub for the one I bought. Both are gun metal blue.
Thanks
Steve

Matching front to rear is not an issue, but here are some options,
The first has the Gun Metal blue color.

What road bike frame do you have with 135mm rear spacing?
I always wanted such frame but see them too infrequently.
Good Luck.

SteveThe rear 570 has a 10mm axel. The front 571 is also 10mm, and the 570 is listed as 9mmm

I was utterly ignorant of the axle diameter differences.
Glad to be informed.

Most LBS's I know of even stock these, for less than the Nashbar price plus
shipping.
