I saw her for the first time in Even Cowgirls Get The Blues where she played Sissy Hankshaw from the fantastic book by Tom Robbins. Haven't missed one of her movies since.

What do you think? What's her best?

I will drop everything to see "The Truth About Cats and Dogs". I loved her in that movie more than any other movie, but then again, I just loved that movie anyway! It's one of those movies that I would watch everytime I saw it on television. Plus, I love the soundtrack too.

She's hot. She rocked in Kill Bill, and I could kick Ethan Hawke's a*s for d*cking her over.

I dig Uma, but detest Tarantino (talentless hack, IMO), so I can't enjoy everything she's been in. I wanted to like Kill Bill for her, but in the end couldn't deny the opinion that it was among the worst films ever created. Been a while since I've seen Even Cowgirls Get the Blues. I think it may be time to dig that one up again.

Uma?? Not a fan. Frankly, I don't see the attraction. She doesn't do anything for me looks-wise or talent-wise.

Hey, She's filming the Producers (the Mel Brooks musical) in NYC right now, I worked on the set today actually, in Brooklyn (at BAM)... I saw Mel Brooks and Will Ferrell, but no Uma. My brother's seen all the main castmembers because he's the head dude (Kraft service).

I thought she was amazingly HOT after seeing "The Adventures of Baron Munchhausen", but after Kill Bill, I'm not so big on her anymore.

I concur. Kill Bill was crap. Oddly enough my wife thinks it's one of the great movies.

She was ok in Gattica.

Didn't you see her dance with Travolta in Pulp Fiction? You might see the attraction with that clip. :)

After seeing her in Les Miserables, my first comment was, "Uma should stick to movies like Pulp Fiction." She doesn't have much range. And I didn't really see Uma in the dance scene from Pulp Fiction...I mean, John Travolta was dancing with her, she didn't stand a chance.

Oh, you got to see that, she was the dance, JT was an accessory in that one. ;)

Ok, what I meant was I saw the dance scene in Pulp Fiction but Uma's dancing was completely overshadowed by the master dancer, John Travolta. I thought Uma did little more than flail around. That scene had to be the major challenge for her in that role, and in my opinion, it made the movie. Tarantino doing a tribute to Travolta like that added a dimension to him as a director for me. Tarantino certainly wasn't showcasing Thurman's dancing.

I see, funny how my focus was only on Thurman, I see your point. Travolta continues to amaze me with his skill and versatility, what he's done in the last 10 years is fabulous (we need a new thread). Now *I* need to rewind to that clip, and see it another way this time.

She's always sort of reminded me of a living example of how many Black Muslims view white women; frail, inbred and cave-dwelling, sort of like Gollum. She affects a dumb pseudo-European accent that makes her sound foolish, and I've never really thought of her as super-talented. She picks roles in great movies, though. :)

I liked her in Henry & June and Dangerous Liasons. It's been downhill since then...

She was in Dangerous Liasons? I can only remember Glenn Close and Michelle Pfeiffer (sp?) in that movie.
