Turns out the police just have a massive case of cranial rectal inversion, that's all....something tells me they need a few pack mules, some rope, and some spinal braces for all officers to help prevent this in the future:

Thanks for the post, The officer Paul Browne, I don't know much about him but for this wonderful bit of policing and my interaction with his untrue proclamation last month. He is the fella that said in reference to riding Crit Mass: "...Since then we’ve just asked people to observe the traffic laws. If they do they’re not arrested; if they break them, they are.”, I did what the MOFO said and got arrested. DCPI Browne seems to be having a public relations problem.
