Touring - The Grand Tour in Quebec

Bikeforums.net is a forum about nothing but bikes. Our community can help you find information about hard-to-find and localized information like bicycle tours, specialties like where in your area to have your recumbent bike serviced, or what are the best bicycle tires and seats for the activities you use your bike for.

I had a friend who did the one around the Lac Saint-Jean (2003 or 2004). She liked it and liked the environment, but even for a "groupie" like her, there were times when she felt it was too much. She also found it was catering to much older cyclists than she thought, with an average age of about 50.
That being said, this year's Grand tour is probably one of the easiest ones to do by yourself: relatively flat terrain (as shown on the photo) except around Stoneham, lots of services, B&Bs, restaurants, bike shops, etc. and even lots of cyclists on the roads in normal times.

Thanks for the posting, Michel. I really want to cycle in Quebec and continue onto Halifax. This tour is made for me. I have bookmarked this site
