Hey all. Sweet site! Found this jewel surfing the web while awaiting the arrival of my new Giant XTC SE1 hardtail.... Insert trickle of drool here. Sadly, my Kona Munimula was stolen about a month ago. Not so sadly, I am replacing it with a phatty and oh so light bike. It's a valid excuse, right? Anyway, haven't been out on the trails for a good four weeks and am itching like you wouldn't believe. I've tried substituting road riding and even stationary bike at the gym for mountain, but the dirt and adrenaline just aren't there!

This will be my fourth year riding, and I'm thinking about training to race next year - we'll see how many miles I can put on this baby when it get in!

So, any Maryland/DC/Virginia riders out there?

I'm a bit far away from your area, but I know what you mean about that itch to go mt biking. I've got it bad!!!! I've been riding a lot on the road, got a group ride planned for tonight as a matter of fact, but it's definately not the same!

Was planning a long weekend trip to NC this weekend to do some camping and riding, but that got scrubbed due to time constraints and lack of $$$. We'll probably just stay within a couple of hours from home, and do some easy riding!

Welcome to the forums and glad you found us!

Post a picture of your new bike when you can.
