mine are going to the local library and the local park
i get to ride the bike trails when i get to the park and can just tool around looking at the wildlife
the library because everthing in the place you can take out for free and it always has curious books and magazines to look at and it is quiet. i also like the roads going to the library, light traffic and wide shoulders

Giro d' Italia
Tour de France
Vuelta a Spania
I like riding a 45 minute loop from my house to the beach, then hitting a bike shop or two, getting a snack, and then coming back home.

My plan is to go to a town near where I live called Bundarra. I've seen it from the air a few times and want to stay the night. Should be a good two day trip when I build up my strength, stamina and callusus on my date.
I haven't found a favorite route here yet. I'm still in the process of exploring.
But worldwide, I'd have to say ...
France - because everyone seemed to love cyclists there
UK - because of all the little lanes
Australia - because it is such a huge, diverse place with very friendly people
Canada - because that's where I live and it is also a huge, diverse place with friendly people. :)

Locally, there are lots of quiet back roads that go through wooded areas and along streams or rivers. I feel like I'm lucky to live here.
If I could go anywhere in the world to ride, it would be Italy.
