There is a magazine called sports n spokes. they have a web site at http://www.sportsnspokes.com These guys always come in first at the marathons.

I have a couple of customers that race handcycles, I will see if I can get the name of the company(I know I have it somewhere) They build light weight trikes with road groups on them.

To find more information have your friend do a search for handcycles or handcycling. I used a couple of them in a MOW from a company which I believe was called Ti Sports and I think they were in Washington State, but have distributors all over. Quickie is another big company that makes them. Glad your friend is ready to start biking. Hope it brings lots of great times to him or her.

The trikes at the Bike-on.com site are the ones my guys ride. They are really nice if a bit hard to get in a repair stand.
