I'm going to leave for San Francisco around mid June. I'm in good shape, but not good bike shape. I'm wondering if anybody wants to join me on part of the ride. Also, any tips on routes to take or general advice is appreciated.

A little about me:

I've just graduated college. I have little money, no home, and no where to go. So I figured I would go on a bike trip. All I have is a good bike and I will be getting some equipment for the journey.

I rode with a guy like you back in the early 90's. He was just out of school,
but did have a job. He loved biking. We did the Blue Ridge Parkway.

He took a month off the next year to cycle Europe. Wound up doing the world.
I got a Christmas card one year that was a picture of him and his bike on the Great
Wall of China!! When he ran out of money, he would teach English for awhile.

Always envied him.
