Mountain Biking - Crossmax XL wheels much better than my x223 wheels?

Bikeforums.net is a forum about nothing but bikes. Just splurged on a set of crossmax xl wheels (disk) - ebay. I currently have x223 (xt hubs) wheels, but thought I would use the x223s for commutes and the salt/sand road conditions, and save the xls for trails and maybe some racing. What would be the main difference that I would see between the two - obviously the price gap and the durability, anything else? Would like to have the sl wheels, but to much $ - could the xls be a nice race wheel? thanks

The XL's are a beefier wheel over the SL's. They targeted more for the "all day/enduro" type bikes. Nice wheels.
The XL' are definately a nice set of race wheels that are strong enough to use everyday.

Great wheels. I have the SLs, and have had them for about two years, and they're awesome. They're very durable and strong and the XLs are supposed to be just a bit stronger (they're heavier.) I love mine, I think you'll love yours too.
BTW, HUGE upgrade over your old wheels.
