Mountain Biking - Jekyll 900 vs. Santa Cruz Bullit - What will be my bike ?

Bikeforums.net is a forum about nothing but bikes. Our community can help you find information about hard-to-find and localized information like bicycle tours, specialties like where in your area to have your recumbent bike serviced, or what are the best bicycle tires and seats for the activities you use your bike for.

I have to to choose a bike out of two options:
Jekyll 900 sx - good setup including hyd. disk brakes and lefty
Santa Cruz Bullit - medium setup including 120mm front (Spinner Edge 3) and cable based disks - but the components are new !
I will do light FR (but who knows ...) and XC.
The setup of the Jekyll is better. Much better. But I heard so much about the bullit.
The frame condition of the both is the same - very good !
The both will cost me the same.
Please help me decide what bike should I buy !!!

I've been beating on a Jeckyll for about 3 years now and pretty happy with it. You are limited when compared to other bikes when it comes to the rear shock. I blew mine up once and sent to Fox to rebuild and got it back in about a week.
Be prepared to hear all the *****in' about the Lefty but don't believe the hype. Never had a problem one with it. Most people that complain haven't ridden one outside the bike shop parking lot and can't get over the looks. Heck, the Cannondale pros ride them in the mountain cross races as well as the cross country.
Never ridden a Bullit but the LBS is carrying them now and seem to be selling OK. I've heard the weight may be a little higher but can't confirm. Look at the new Prophets with the 5.5 travel Leftys.

The Bullit is going to be a better bike for FR, no doubt. The Jekyll ISNT a freeride bike, its a trail bike, and it will break when ridden hard. Go ride each of them, see which you like better.
