I'm looking into it, primarily for disolving calcium deposits in my neck.. I have a new masseusse that says there is an essential oil that can be applied topically that will dissolve calcium deposits(but not calcium in bone)... I found EDTA(forget the long name) looks like the one via searches on the net.. Also they have
articles about using EDTA orally for cleaning deposits from the circulatory system... Has anybody looked into this or tried it or heard good or bad about it?...

EDTA=ethylenediaminetetraacetic acid

EDTA is a great complexing agent, it is not an "essential oil" it is a NON-natural chemical that has been designed to complex a large range of metals. EDTA is that it will complex most metals in your body... Ca, Mg, Na, K, Fe, Cu, ect. EDTA has VERY little selectivity towards calcium.

Before I took something like EDTA I was concult someone who when to med school. You might be thinking of something like gultamate (sp?) or something else, my biochem is very porr.

At biological pH, EDTA will have very little complexing activity towards [Ca +2]

Well there seems to be a lot of studies to back it up.. but then that doesn't mean its truely effective, it's not new.. looks like the notion has been around a long time and in use.. I'm sure there is more money interested in dissclaiming it than proving it true, the last word i would trust is that of the FDA / AMA.. but I'm still looking.. doesnt look like it would be too expensive to try.. for cleaning arteries it may be hard to prove effect but for my neck pain I might see progress..

I know there are many doubters about Chelation and I tend to be sketical but I have seen it work on arteries. My Grandfather had over 100 treatments of IV and it improved his vision at age 87. I am curious how you expect it to help your neck via a circulatory application? The reason I ask is that I have spurs in my neck also.

well im not sure it will help the neck, and I'm not sure this is what my masseusse was talking about when he said there was a topical treatment that could dissolve the calcium deposits.. so im still looking for that connection or the product he was talking about.. but I am glad I stumbled on this anyway.. I may try it.. still investigating... I see the masseusse again on wednesday so I will ask more about if then if I don't find something before that... i
