Recently, I have been having this wacky notion that I would like to go to France to see the Tour. Is this practical? OK, it might be a bit expensive.
Any suggestions or experiences?

I guess it will be great to be able to go there to see the race. I too would like to be able to attend, only if I have the chance (when???). If you are able to go, better do so. If you are able to go and don't wish to, why not ask me to go? I would be so glad to! HEHEHE :D

Now come on oxologic, why will he ask you to go when he can ask his next door neighbor and your his friend from another street, see he wil just yell and tell me that he wants me to watch the Tour at his expense
In most copies of most cycling magazines, there are ads for tour companies that organize tours just like what you want. They are fairly expensive, but it is the TdF, after all.
If you need some references, let me know, and I will post some. Email me at gmason@insci.com.
Cheers...Gary
