Training & Nutrition - lower back pain

Bikeforums.net is a forum about nothing but bikes. Our community can help you find information about hard-to-find and localized information like bicycle tours, specialties like where in your area to have your recumbent bike serviced, or what are the best bicycle tires and seats for the activities you use your bike for.
Since i began or retook up cycling about 2 months ago i found that i am getting lower back pain in the kidney areas along with this hand and wrist pain on the longer rides. does anyone have any suggestions on a remedy?
Rob
I am also having the same problems, so if anyone can help, I would love to hear of any suggestions. I use ben-gay, and that helps the back, but the soreness in the wrist hurts like a temporary carpel tunnel syndrome!

I went to a 'bent due to wrist, neck and saddle woes. When I get off
my 'bent after a long ride, nothing hurts.

If you can send a pic of your typical riding position, taken from front and side, that may help. Dont pose for the camera, just cruise past. Make sure your photographer gets you filling the frame.
Its almost imposible to give fitting advice without seeing.

I buy my bike stuff at a shop called Bicycle Sports, Shreveport, La. the owner John Cobb is Lance Armstrong's technical and aerodynamics advisor. when I bought my last bike, the shop techs 'set me up' in position. before that I had long fought the problems of a sore back. now I can go on a long ride and concentrate on cycling and not suffering. check out their web site for some great tips @ bicyclesports.com
