I can't seem to tighten the quick releases tight enough to keep the seat from sliding back. I weigh about 213 or 220 in all my clothes. I have them so tight that the rods bow and the seat bracket bends in a bit. I cleaned the track and clamps so it can't be grease on the rail. I wonder if it only does it when I have some weight in my backpack hanging off the back of the bike. I guess if I strapped it to my rack and then checked the seat. But any idea's on keeping it in place? You can't use the speed adjusters on the limbo

I think I have the answer which I heard about on another mail list. Call Burley and ask for the new aluminum stays. The (4) plastic stays or guides are what I think you have and they were prone to slip. Better yet call the dealer where you bought it.

mine has a set of each figure that one out. but one fellow told me to just use a couple of hose clamps to keep the seat from sliding. so I did that yesterday.

Steve, all 4 in aluminum work because they gull the rail (aluminum to aluminum) and will fix your problem. The dealer assembled it the way he did to allow it to be adjustable until it sold. I've seen peole use a rubber hammer to move it with aluminum guides.

I have always needed the rubber hammer to adjust the seat. I iwll drop by and get the two aluminum ones. Hope I don't have to replace the qucik releases as the rods were a bit bend. though I don't know if it was permenent.

I removed the seat and cleaned the rail I don't look forward to removing it again. maybe I will get the dealer to do it.

I changed my stays to the alumimun ones too. I remove the seat on my Canto 02 everytime I put the bike on my rack. I've become pretty good at lining up the stays to the rail from the back. I can even do it while lining up the speed struts. Of course you can always remove the skewers and the stays and try to line them up.

the metal ones were easy the rubber ones were a problem. but it was taking the junk off the back of the seat that was a pain (G)
