I was wondering if any bikeforums members have had any success in exchanging your Norco Bikeguard locks. I have a Bikeguard 2 and have contacted Norco twice and nothing - no answer what so ever. Makes a person a little angry.

NEW INFO ON BIKE-GUARD® U-LOCK UPGRADE
Vancouver, BC, Canada, September 24, 2004 – BIKE-GUARD® today offered more details about their plan to service customers who have been possibly affected by recent U-lock picking concerns. BIKE-GUARD® is still actively testing locks to find the cause of this problem, and to what extent it reaches. Although not all U-locks or Tubular Key locks are affected, BIKE-GUARD is not taking a “Wait-and-See” approach. They are taking the problem head on, and giving the benefit of any doubt to their customers and dealers.
More specific details will follow in the coming days, but BIKE-GUARD® will be offering No Charge upgrades to affected locks that have been purchased since January 2002. Any other consumer not feeling secure with their current Tubular Keyed BIKE-GUARD® U-Lock will also be able to take advantage of an offer of considerable discounts to be able to update their lock to the most current of security technology. Lock Upgrade kits (including 5 flat style High Security Keys) will be available at local BIKE-GUARD retailers in the next few weeks.
"We want our customers and dealers to be confident that Bike-Guard is working as hard and as fast as possible to have upgrade kits available. This problem only came to our attention on September 20th, and we have been working extremely hard with our factory and engineers to ensure that we have not only come up with a solution for our customers, but also that we can understand why and how a security problem like this can happen." said BIKE-GUARD® Product Manager, Andrew Belson.
In the meantime BIKE-GUARD® has suspended all Magnum® Series U-lock sales to dealers until each and every model can be thoroughly tested and upgraded to meet their strict security requirements.
"This potential problem affects only 5 of BIKE-GUARD®’s unrivalled 63 model line-up, meaning that 92% (including Chains, Cables, and Flat Keyed U-Locks) of all models are still available to serve our customers demanding security needs." said Andrew Belson.
Dealers can be confident that their current and pending orders for 2004/2005 BIKE-GUARD® U-locks will be shipped with upgraded High Security Flat keys. Current dealer inventory will also be upgraded at no charge by BIKE-GUARD®.
