Final three overall were Voskamp, Dierckxsens, and Chavanel. Vainstains finished in 5th overall, Julich was 23rd, and Merckx 27th.
But the big news was that Andrei Tchmil retired from competitive cycling from the podium after winning the stage on Monday. The end of a great career, happening in a somewhat lower-key fashion than planned at the beginning of this season. Caused, of course, by coming afoul of the cobbles during one of the Spring Classics. But he did retire on a stage win, which was at least a partial recovery to plan.
