Well I finally commuted by bike. (if you want to call it that) I rode my bike to the bus stop which is about 3 blocks from home, took the bus downtown and then rode it about 6-7 blocks to work. Felt good and got plenty of looks on the bus (the bus system just put the racks on two weeks ago). It works great and was a lot of fun. Hope to do it frequently now.

Congratulations.
Now for the BIG question. How far do you ride on the bus?
If it is a reasonable distance, why not ride all the way to work?

I will probably use the bus to take me home when traffic is heavier and when the les desirable people are awake. I end up going through some bad parts of town.

Going to work on bike will not be a problem.

Cincinnati has real big racial tension going on right now through two parts of town. I would end up going through both. That is why I will probably ride to work and use the bus to go home.

I did not know that Atlanta was bad.
