i know that Phil Liggitt sounds great while calling a race, but i am left wanting more. I want to know gearing being used, i want to know speeds, i want to know strategy, i want to know about team positioning, handling.
In other words, i want to see/hear coverage that helps me in my riding skills.
like Steve Stone used to say when covering the Cubs: "that's a lesson for all you 2nd basemen out there...."

am i just not 'getting' it?

Phil usually makes 'some' comment about strategies, speeds, etc but it would be nice to move it up a notch or two.

Obviously they can't make it too technical because they're broadcasting to a fairly wide range of viewers but it would be nice to have it shifted up a gear or two. That would still make it accesable for the average Fred but would hopefully add some extra interest for the rest of us.
