Spring has finally come along with some warmer temperatures along the frigid New England area. It seems this weekend in the New Hampshire region should allow for some warm and comfortable biking conditions. Has anyone else finally pulled their bike out of the dusty shafts of their garage/den/shed? I know my biking withdrawl symptoms from the harsh winter took their toll on me. Finally looking to get back on my bike! :D :D :D

Spring was definitely in the air yesterday here in Connecticut. Made it up to near 55 degrees!!! :)

Unfortunately, there is a winter storm warning in effect from this evening through tomorrow mid day for another 6 - 12 inches of heavy wet snow. :(

Can't last forever.

Learning to ride all winter is almost like learning to ride all over again, or learning how to ski and what to wear. It keeps the winter from being so bad. Riding in up to about 5" of snow is fun. It's a lot of work if it's a few inches deep, it reminds me of cross country skiing. Riding on frozen lakes and ponds is great too! It gives you an advantage on the road too, when you drop everyone on the first hill of the spring group ride !!

Down here in R.I. it is probably going to be OK road riding on Friday.

Tuesday was almost 50 and I was getting excited, then ---- last night another 5" of snow. I haven't seen totally dry roads in my neighborhood for months now, although I like to think that it is getting closer :D

Sounds like all the absurdly cold spots are warming up a little and the puzzlingly warm spots are cooling down. We're finally getting a respectable amount of rain here and the highs are back down to 50 after a freakishly high 70 a couple weeks ago. Yay for spring.

I will say spring has sprung the day I ride in short sleeves, shorts, fingerless, my summer shoes and nothing covering me ears.
