Ok, thoughts on these 3 wheelsets:

American Classic 420
Reynolds Alta
Velomax tempest II

I've read some sketchy reports on the AC 420's largely relating to substandard hubs and out of balance wheels.

I have not read anything on the altas and have read good things about the Tempest II's

I'm looking for a good clincher race wheel, light, stiff and durable, with some moderate aero advantage. I don't plan on riding these for everyday.

Any other suggestions on wheelsets would be welcomed.

Also, what is the general consensus on the tufo tubular clincher tires?? seem like a good concept.

Cheers

Well I'll be finding out about the Alta's in couple of weeks as I just ordered a set.
