It's ok, but don't get to use attached to it because if you get into riding more it'll start to fall apart after about a year(most of it anyway).

It's not going to fall apart; both of those kids are about 13 and don't have a clue as to what they're talking about.

i didn't say it will fall apart; i said that it sucks. i don't like haros.i don't know why people would buy a complete bike for over 400 dollars. If they are going to be serious about bmx to spend that much, why not build their own

I'm going to have to agree with you on that one. I think maybe we should require that some people post their age/credentials before they try to offer advice. I see a lot of misinformation, or completely biased opinions given out in the BMX threads. It's one thing to have an opinion, it's another thing to bash a product for no reason. I don't care for freestyle and trick bikes, but as a dealer/importer, I like to keep up on what works well and what doesn't. If someone doesn't like Haro, they should give their reasons. And not everyone has the time or knowledge to build a bike from scratch. I think these kids need to realize that they don't know everything at 13. Geez, I'm starting to sound like a parent. :D

I'm bashing haro because their bikes can not hold up for street riding. There is only one haro that is worth buying;the dave mirra. it has sealed wheels, sealed euro bb,and an integrated headtube

Not one of those items adds to durability in any way.

sealed wheels and bb. the bearings wont get ****ed up. i didn't really mean it is more durable, even though it is, i meant that it is a better bike

I think that Haro makes great complete bikes...i have had two Haro Backtrails that work fine for street
and dirt. If i remember right the F5 has a nice parts package....cassete hubs, sealed wheels, 2-pc bars front brakes and back brakes 36-13 gearing and some of that is made by Premium (Haro's top of the line products) so i think that Haros are great....the F5 is a buy....i think

So if I put sealed hubs and BB on a Huffy, does that make it a better bike?

A haro will work for you while shredding your plastic spine. Premium and haro are both asian crap

dang i didnt no they were asian...damn
No, it's still a cheap bike with better components. Just because you don't like Haro, or any other brand, that doesn't make them crap.

it's still a cheap bike, but it is better off than it was without the new wheels and bb
Premium and haro are both asian crap
Um, what isn't made in the Pacific Rim these days? Surely your bike is from China.

just about every complete is asian. if not, haros would cost like 600 bucks. We the people, macneil, volume, eastern, and the logic frame are asian. Fly is made in spain i think. I hate asia. i was on the train and some lady was selling these american flags with a tag that said "Made in China" My bike is all american, besides the fork
What frame, hoops, hubs, cranks, BBs, pdeals, stems, bars, grips, spokes, and tires are made in the states?
queensrider86

i didn't mean every little peice, but whatever. Standard Sta ox platinum, odyssey midway rims, primopro cassette back, vandero front hub, profile dj crank, odyssey euro bb, tenderizer pedals, standard neck, beringer bars, odi grips , animal tires, 30t kink light sprocket. theres my bike
So what you're saying is only American made components are good? Or just American made frames? What makes them better than their Asian conterparts? Does that mean that my $3,000 custom titanium frame is no good, as it's not American made? I think you need to stop making these very generalized comments. Most of the components in circulation are made in China. The very cheapest are probably from Taiwan, some of the better ones from Japan. Country of origin does not determine quality.

odyssey is the only good taiwan made company. The chromoly in america is stronger than chromoly in asia.If your frame is custom made, it is made specifacally for you, and it costs $3,000, so whoever built it most likely used good titanium. These frames that i am referring to are not made specific for one person, they are made to sell.
You really don't know what you're talking about, but I'll attribute that to your age and experience, or lack thereof.

my experience of what?. of riding? I must ask about your experience of bmx. what can you do. how long have you been riding? I have only been riding for a little under a year. i can hit rails/ramps/gaps fairly well.
If it was about my knowledge of bmx, i don't know as much as bmxtrix or beerman but i know enough
Your knowledge of components and manufacturing. I've only been riding for about 29 years, but I've been involved in importing/sales/distribution for about 5 years now. I may know a thing or two. The fact that you can make a comment like this one -
odyssey is the only good taiwan made company. The chromoly in america is stronger than chromoly in asia.
shows that you really don't know what you're talking about. I'm sure you're pretty good at jumps and tricks, but blanket statements like that about products are either making you look silly, or doing a disservice to someone looking for qualified advice on this forum. All I'm saying is that you're certainly free to express your opinions based on experience, but you need to temper your comments with the fact that you have a limited knowledge base of manufacturers and components. Until you've sold, used or broken a product, I suggest you refrain from commenting. That's all. And have a happy Easter.
guys. i don't care what bike you have initially. i started with a mongoose, and what i did was as the parts have busted over the last year or so, i replaced 'em with much higher quality parts. completes are a good way to go to learn on, but as the years pass, and skill increases, you will (if u do wat i did) have a much stronger bike than u had. bottom line is i now have a bike that is perfect for me.
And you made your point without denigrating anyone else's choices. Cheers!

sorry to sound like an uneducated idiot here, but what's "denigrating" mean? :o

It means you're an uneducated idiot. :D Just kidding. You could have looked it up online, but basically it means you made your point without harshing/bagging/degrading/talkin' smack about something.
oh. okay. well i do try. thanks mate.

i have an f-5, its an overall good bike, but your parts are wrong, its a flip flop, but it is one of those micro ones so you can run a 13t 14t or 15t, the 2 peice bars are low and not very strong, i broke mine and replaced them with snafu rifle bars, there aren't any front breaks, and its a 39-14 not a 36, and the only thing on the bike made by premium is the seat post clamp and the pegs,
