Gang,
I've been looking for a computer for my stoker (wife). I am currently running a Flight Deck on the front, as well as on my DF. I figured if I was going to add an additional computer I should pick one with a few options I am lacking on the Flight Deck and have wanted for some time. Specifically, vertical feet climbed and percent grade. Today after my ride I went out and picked up a Specialized Turbo Pro. Got it all programmed and low and behold it is not picking up the signal from the sender. The manual recommends 28 inches as the maximum distance between the two, so I placed the magnet and sender on the back wheel to just keep it under the maximum. It is now at 27 inches. If I hold the computer 6-12 inches from the sender it works fine. Now I'm sitting her pondering my options. I could mount the computer in the top tube just in front of the seat to shorten the lenght, but that seems kind of hokey. Possibly the battery is a bit weak, I could try another. Has anyone ever added an "antenna" to the computer? Is anyone aware of another computer with the altitude functions that runs a wire from the sender? That might be my best bet.
Thanks. Bone
