Hi;

A friend at work is looking for a decent, but inexpensive road bike. I know, tough combination. She's got a line on a Trek 2120 aluminum/carbon framed bike, circa 1998, for $225. I was wondering if anyone has any experience with this particular bike. For instance, as long as it's not been obviously thrashed, can she expect the frame to hold together? Any other info would be appreciated.

Thanks. DanO

I'd think that unless the frame has inherent engineering defects it would not be a problem especially since it's nearly new. I have an older trek ('85) and they are well-built. Try to google the model and see what comes up. Sounds like a decent bike for a fairly low price.
