Commuting - Big shot

I am a "big shot" who has all the answers. Do you ever feel the same?

In other words, do you ever feel like you, being a bicycle commuter, have the answers to many of the problems plaguing our modern car-driven society?

Aarg, I guess I'm the only one.

I can't say that I have all the answers but of course I'm a "Big Shot" - I ride a bike.

It is scientifically provable that we are able to come up with more of the answers. We ride - we increase blood flow to the brain - we come up with great ideas. Simple.

I used to feel like this. I even had answers to questions that I wasn't asked. Then I realised that the sort of evangelical zeal that comes with any great, but ultimately very personal, revelation doesn't make one a 'big shot' in the eyes of those around us. You were, however, only one letter away from what it does make us. (and it's not 'bug shot')

I think as the muscles in my legs have developed they have monopolized blood flow, causing my brain to atrophe. Now, when young girls cheer and call for me to stop ... it doesn't register for a block.
