Bikeforums.net is a forum about nothing but bikes. Our community can help you find information about hard-to-find and localized information like bicycle tours, specialties like where in your area to have your recumbent bike serviced, or what are the best bicycle tires and seats for the activities you use your bike for.

A few weeks ago someone started a thread about grips and one of the guys posted saying that he has to change grips quite often. I blasted him because I figured that changing grips more than like once a year was just being ********. Anyways, I was looking at my grips today, which have maybe 100 trail miles on them in the last 4 months, they are starting to wear surprisingly thin on the edges. The rubber is soft, providing great grip, but wears quick. So whoever I blasted, sorry about that, you were actually right about some grips wearing really fast.

Kinda like tires on my Ferrari.... Soft yet they stick to the road.
I could buy some Military grade rubber, but it'd defeat the purpose, huh?

Some grips wear faster than others. I prefer more durable grips, but that's me
