Does anyone know the origination of trials? I know that it got started with motocross, but I'd like to learn more.

A good person to start the history lesson with would be hans rey. He was the first rider to migrate it to mountain bikes I think. Beyond that, not sure.

Brits started trials for motorcycles back in the 40's I believe. Look for MC sites about trials. Got transferred to mt. bikes in the 70s?
