Mountain Biking - Fork in the 120-180 euro price range?

Bikeforums.net is a forum about nothing but bikes. Our community can help you find information about hard-to-find and localized information like bicycle tours, specialties like where in your area to have your recumbent bike serviced, or what are the best bicycle tires and seats for the activities you use your bike for.

Considering I think my RST was faulty from the beginning, my LBS will either replace it or if I pay some extra money then they'll give me a better fork. What are some good 100mm travel forks in the 120-180 (150-220 dollars) euro price range?

Thanks,
-Drunken Chicken

EDIT: For urban assault/urban freeride/some trails.
EDIT2: I'm currently looking at an MZ-Race for 170 euros, is it a good fork?
EDIT3: MZ-Race is, in CAD, 266. :p

I don't think many people want to convert euro to whatever their national dollar is. :)

Thats like 300$cdn right, Mz Race seems fine for that range.

I'll convert as soon as possible, sorry for the inconvenience. ;) When I posted that I wanted to get an MZ-Race at www.mbuk.com they didn't seem to like it at all. Hmm...
Oh well, hold on for the conversion. :D

Well I am not responding because I really know nothing of forks in that category.

I just think other may have a better understanding when converted.

I found a site that does conversions.

120 euros = 187.85 CAD = 155.26 USD
180 euros = 281.67 CAD = 232.82 USD

Hope this helps!

MBUK really isnt a nice forum, i used to use it abit, but i jsut dont like it there, its nothing compared to this forum, southern Downhill is a pretty good forum aswell :)

And i would suggest an MZ Race aswell :)

OK, thanks. :) As for MBUK, it's not for entry level riders, that's for sure!! :p

Good definition. :p
Oh yeah, I just cycled to my LBS and asked how much an RST Gila T5 costs; they said around 140 euros! If this fork messed up and the warranty would replace it I could also choose to pay 30 euros and then I'd get an MZ-Race... :D But for now the fork is holding on, too bad eh? :p j/k
