The International Equestrian Federation have ordered Irish showjumper Cian O'Connor to give back his Olympic gold at a hearing into doping allegations.

O'Connor's horse tested positive for prohibited substances and after an 11 hour hearing he was disqualfied.

I thought this was funny, compared to cycling... it's not the rider that was on drugs, it was the horse!

What's the world come to. A man can't trust his own horse.

This is actually fairly common. I got out of horses because I couldn't afford one, much less that quantity of meds :D. Even supplements are expensive. You don't even want to know what the vet bills are like. Bikes and dogs are a much better hobby.

did you guys ever read those two articlea bout animal doping someone posted a long time ago? One was about people giving utter steriods to prize dairy cows to enlarge their utters for showing, and the second was about belgian racing pigeons . . . over half of the ones tested were positive for anabolic steriods. Kinda funny, but kinda sad
