Pretty good crowd at Brasstown Bald climb at last year's TdGA. This year has TT in Rome on Thursday; Brasstown / Bald on Saturday...teams are staying at Brasstown Valley Resort on Sat night. Anyone going this year?

Not sure exactly what days I'll go. I'll probably head up to Dahlonega again for the finish of stage 5. I'd like to get to Rome for the TT, but not sure if I'll be able to get the day off. I may try and get to Brasstown this year (missed it last year), and then I'll probably ride from my place up to Alpharetta for the finish again.

I haven't paid as much attention as I should have to who is actually going to be there. If Julich is there, I'm picking him. Lance will always be a threat if he's in good form as he was last year. I'd like to see some more of the US guys getting some attention this year--last year seemed to be all about Lance. The US guys were so accessible and easy to get to talk to and take pictures with it was unbelievable. Either way, it should be a great time. I wish I could get some more time off though, but we'll see. It should be great either way!!

We were planning to go and have reservations at a cabin on Neel's Gap. I got word last night the friend I was going with died yesterday when he ran off the road on Wolfpen Gap. It seems that he went into a turn too hot, left the road and hit a tree.

Just confirmed my reservation for my hotel, so I'm going to be there for sure.

Leaving my house early in the morning, driving the 5 hours to brasstown bald, staying overnight in murhpy, nc, driving back down for the start of the next stage, and then 5 hours back home sunday night.

The problem being that I waited until now to make a reservation, so I'm staying an hour away from brasstown/blairsville.
