Has anyone tried putting 26" wheels on a 24"bmx cruiser frame? Some of the production frames have long enough chain stays. Aside from the brake considerations this would make a fast cheap and easy single speed 26 cruiser.

i had a cruiser/mtb, but i kept the 24" rear wheel. theres no reason for a 26er back there. and they dont make good bikes for anything but dirt jumping and skateparks because even the large and extra large frames are still tiny, and make sitting and pedaling nearly impossible. you are standing on that bike pretty much the entire time your riding it, and due to the complete lack of disc mounts or disc hubs for bmx spacing, having no brakes pretty much sucks too (the front forks of bmx bikes rarely, if ever, have brake bosses of any kind- v or disc).
